Wave Tech has announced its plan to set up Pakistan’s first-ever lithium battery manufacturing plant at the Malir Industrial Park (MIP) in Karachi, with a substantial Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of $200 million. Construction of this state-of-the-art facility is set to commence in December 2025, and battery production is expected to start by mid-2026. This groundbreaking initiative aims to phase out oxide batteries in Pakistan, contributing to the country’s transition towards modern and sustainable energy solutions.
